How clear aligners work
- Your dentist checks your teeth and talks you through your options.
- If aligners suit you, a series of thin, clear trays is made to fit your teeth.
- Each tray is shaped slightly differently, so it moves your teeth a little at a time.
- You wear them for most of the day and night, taking them out to eat, drink and brush.
- Every week or two you move on to the next tray, with regular check-ups along the way.
- When your teeth are in place, a retainer helps keep them straight.
